American Staffordshire Terrier - Axxxx13 Shiloh - Large - Adult
I am a super duper lover who is looking for my forever home Shiloh is a super duper lover who has begun sharing her love with licks to the face and the ever present swinging tail. She is a very loyal and loving dog who just wants to be close to you or on you if possible (literally). She is a bit unsure about other dogs, cats, livestock, etc although she does seem to be getting better about that. She does bark, pull and sometimes lunge towards 'threats' if that threat is a.) aggressive towards her or b.) fleeing or c.) making loud noises. She is not food aggressive. She does not bark through the night. She does so so on a leash right now but has been getting better. We worked with her the day she came to us, 6/13-6/16. She was spayed on 6/17 and due to her incision is resting for the time being. She is heart worm positive and will begin treatment for that hopefully within a week. As of right this moment, she would probably be best as the only dog with no cats or children. She is extremely strong and turns into dead weight when she doesn't want to move or go back outside, etc. Her lower center of gravity makes handling her a bit of a challenge but with work and most importantly patience she should make a fine dog indeed. We will post updates to her photos and personality and manners in the future. Our hope is that she find a loving home as through her toughness she is a very very very loving dog as you can see in her photos. I was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved me and now they are helping me find the forever, loving home that I have never known. I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and I am in a foster home.
