American Staffordshire Terrier - Sadie - Medium - Adult - Female
Hi my name is Sadie and I am as sweet and I am soft and beautiful. Please, adopt me! You wont regret it I am smart, loving, and Loyal! I used to be a lawn ornament. These nice people rescued me and promised me a nice indoor home! Please, make my dream come true :0) All of our pets are Neutered, Dewormed, Microchipped, on flea and heartworm prevention. How was dog on initial meeting? Sadie is a very sweet girl very excited to have us come visit her. She does tend to be mouthy and does jump a bit.
Accepts being pet and handling ?Sadie accepted brushing, exam of feet, mouth, ears, eyes very well. Did notice that she was a bit head shy as if she had been hit around the head. She would duck fast movements. She is a very loving girl.
Allows food or toys being taken away? I was able to drop a hot dog near her and pick it up, as well as fish one out of her mouth. I didn?t see any signs of food aggression.
Introduction to other dogs Hard to get a good assessment as she was still in quarantine. She did fine with Riko. She would bark and lunge at the fence at other dogs in a distance. I would say she may be ok with meeting a dog in a neutral area, but I would always be a bit leary about dog aggression.
How does dog respond to training? Sadie seemed to eat up that attention she got during training. She responded very quickly to the task of watch me. She can be a puller on walks but was doing well with working on that as well. On a walk with her a rabbit ran past us and she stayed with me. I really liked that.
How is dog around children? ?Due to Sadie being so mouthy I don?t recommend her for children.
